Join the Community Day “Premiere Party” for the NASCAR Hall of Fame’s newest exhibit: Lights. Camera. NASCAR! The exhibit chronicles how the NASCAR industry has influenced films, how NASCAR has promoted movies through sponsorship and how film has portrayed the sport’s legends over the years. Read more about our largest exhibit to date here.
The entire community is invited to join us for a red carpet worthy Premiere Party on Saturday, June 1st. The day will be full of kid-friendly programming and activities on the NASCAR Hall of Fame Plaza as well as inside the venue including a bounce house, caricature artists, coloring stations and more.
Spotlighting the industry like never before, “Lights. Camera. NASCAR.” illustrates the tremendous reach and appeal NASCAR holds as both a means for movie promotion and the starring focus of a film. While the sport originated on dirt tracks across the South, NASCAR has certainly found an A-list home in Hollywood in recent decades.
Glitz and glamour await as you explore NASCAR’s legacy on the big screen from the promotion of the blockbusters like “Jurassic Park” on the track to starring roles in smash hits like “Days of Thunder.” Artifacts are ready for their close-ups and include items like the Cole Trickle car from “Days of Thunder,” the Doc Hudson car from “Cars,” the Wonder Bread car from “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” and dozens of other artifacts straight from the set.
