Currently on display at the NASCAR Hall of Fame is Wrecks: Dramatic Crashes of NASCAR. This limited time exhibit presents an impactful visual that puts the breathtaking, inevitable part of racing front and center, exploring how competitors and their equipment are pushed to the limit and beyond.
Featuring cars, artifacts and media, the exhibit chronicles some of NASCAR’s most spectacular wrecks; each of the drivers featured emerged to race again. The new is exhibit, located in the Great Hall within the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
The exhibit also includes a kids play station featuring NASCAR Bashers, a new line of toy cars and haulers for children that transforms in a spectacular fashion. Play with all your favorite drivers and their rivals too. You can wreck, rebuild and do it again for great NASCAR play.
A total of 18 items including original wrecked stock cars and authentic artifacts related to NASCAR wrecks. In addition, over 25 minutes of historic race footage is on display. Of the cars featured in the exhibit, Michael McDowell and Phil Parson’s cars flipped the most with approximately nine full flips; neither driver was seriously injured.
While the main exibit is in the Great Hall, visitors are encouraged to check out Heritage Speedway on Level 4 of the NASCAR Hall of Fame to view racing artifacts highlighting the evolution of safety in NASCAR.
