For Ford Fans…
This is one for Ford fans out there. Who has won the most NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races in a Ford? Most folks would say Bill Elliott. His total number of wins is 44. Although Bill Elliott is known for driving Fords, four of his wins came in a Ray Evernham’s Dodge. NASCAR Hall of Fame 2010 inductee Junior Johnson has 50 wins, many of them in a Ford. However, several were won in Pontiacs and Oldsmobiles.
The answer for most wins with a Ford is 2011 NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee Ned Jarrett. His total number of wins stands at 50 and he was known as one of the staunchest Ford campaigners during his career. But he switched to Chevrolet during the 1961 and 1962 NASCAR seasons racking up seven victories for the “bow tie brigade”. That leaves 43 wins for Ned Jarrett behind the wheel of a Ford for the all-time record in NASCAR’s premier series.
