First Member Day Leaves ‘Memorable’ Impression

The first Member Day is in the books!

We celebrated our first NASCAR Hall of Fame Member Day Thursday, May 24 and we want you to be a part of it in the future!  Member Day is a new event to make sure Members understand how important they are to us.  The day included Member-only simulator races and pit crew challenges for Members.  The winners received a special Member Day victory trophy.  There also was an autograph session with 2011 NASCAR Hall of Fame Inductee Ned Jarrett.  There are many reasons to become a Member, but we have decided to highlight a few:

1. Live Out Your Fantasy as a NASCAR Driver

Members competed against each other day during the Member Simulator Race on Member Day.  After 30 laps and numerous wrecks, we had a winner.  His racing name was Captain Fred and he proudly held his trophy for all to see.

“If you can’t be in a racecar, this is the next best thing,” Fred said.  “You get the feel of driving the car without actually having to hit the wall.”

If you love simulator rides and lots of them, it definitely pays to be a Member.  Members receive special perks such as discounted or free simulator rides

2. Come Face to Face With A NASCAR Legend

Fans and guests of the Hall will get to occasionally meet NASCAR superstars and legends, but Members can come face- to- face with their favorite driver or legend.  Members were presented with a special meet and greet with 2011 Inductee Ned Jarrett during the 2012 Member Day.  Jarrett was in the Skybox for a very enjoyable autograph session.  Members were very receptive to this and cherished the opportunity to meet a NASCAR legend.  They were quick to point out that they cherished the opportunity to meet Jarrett in such a comfortable and relaxed environment.

Some opportunities are available for luncheons with a NASCAR legend as well.  One of the most highly-rated Legends Members benefits is to sit down for a bite to eat with NASCAR legends.  Legend Members were able to sit, eat, and chat with 2013 Inductees Rusty Wallace and Leonard Wood.

“It was a fantastic opportunity. I’m a new Member and this was neat.  To be able to meet a NASCAR legend in person is something. I enjoy meeting them in this relaxed and casual way.  It makes it much more enjoyable.” Don K. Concord, Ohio

3. We Take Care of Our Members

The NASCAR Hall of Fame strives to provide the best experience possible for every guest and we try to make our Members realize how important they are to us.  Our first Member Day featured simulator races, autograph sessions and pit crew challenges.  Every level of our Membership packages has special benefits to make sure you know how much we appreciate your patronage.  Members, receive discounts on simulator rides, and receive Hall of Fame souvenirs. Members also can utilize the free shuttle from the Hall of Fame to Charlotte Motor Speedway for NASCAR race weekends at the track.

4. It’s Great to Support a Sport We Love

NASCAR fans are some of the most loyal and passionate fans in the sports world.  Everyone cheers on their favorite driver.  A Membership to the Hall shows your commitment to NASCAR too.

Fans of NASCAR history also should think about joining the Hall.  A Membership shows a passion towards the rich history of NASCAR.

“Membership lets you in on special events instead of just tickets.  We used to live in Charlotte and we’ve been big NASCAR fans.  We moved away and I’ve missed it.  I’ve missed NASCAR.  I’ve gotten back into it because of this.” Linda Hines Rosemount, Minnesota

Member Day was a success and we look forward to it again next year.

The NASCAR Hall of Fame has a variety of Membership packages. Memberships begin at $25 for children and $50 for adults.
