Wendell should have been in at least the 2nd year nominations. He was popular with the fans and a gentleman. I had the oportunity to meet Wendell several times, in the pits, after races. He was always pleasant with his fans and a credit to the sport. I could name so many of the big name drivers from that era that would not give a fan the time of day. I have sat on Wendell’s hauler a few times after races and had discussions with him that were not always about racing Like I said he was a good person.

Dont forget to put Crew Chief Harry Hyde on the list. He had over 50 Cup wins and a Cup championship and a movie about him.

Really enjoyed the time with the wood brothers. I love to hear them talk, being from GA I like slow talk. I’m not sure Glen & Leonard know how big an impact their clan had on three maybe four generations. My whole life if you thought of a ford, you thought of the Woods. Everybody who drove a ford pulled for the 21 or where I’m from, Jody Ridley. I got a T-Bird on my driveway now. They made everybody proud on mondays because they WON! Congrats to the whole clan on Glen’s induction. Just a matter of time till some more Woods are honored.

The pickers did a great job on this one- a genuine Petty door from a car driven by Yarborough AND a humidor on lease for many months from a NASCAR stakeholder. Can’t wait to see the “pickers” in action again!

I think those objects are AWESOME! They are definitely not garbage and well worth the money that the “Pickers” spent.
