CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Monday, March 28, 2011– 1037 WSOC presents Southern Girls Night out April 20th at the state-of-the-art NASCAR Hall of Fame. Along with the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central and Western NC, WSOC has created a one night only celebration for women featuring an acoustic performance from former American Idol contestant and Country music super star Kellie Pickler.
“Kellie has performed for sold out crowds and stadium audiences around the country”, said Operations Manager/Program Director DJ Stout. “We thought it would be a great opportunity for our listeners to see Kellie return to her roots and give them a chance to see her in an intimate up close setting.”
Hosted by Morning Show host Catherine Lane and Debbie of the Charlie and Debbie Afternoon show on WSOC this event will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Patrons will enjoy a “Step into Spring” Fashion Show featuring the latest in Spring Fashions from stylish boutiques with the most current designers. Listeners will be treated to a red carpet arrival as well as a special “shoe cam” from heels.com.
Beginning Monday, March 28th, tickets are available for $20 at wsocfm.com on a limited basis with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Make-A-Wish Foundation. Twelve-year-old wish child Shelby will get the chance to meet Pickler and watch the show from a special VIP section. “WSOC has been such a great partner with Make-A-Wish over the years by offering special enhancements and contributions to our wish children through programs such as these,” said Wish Director Amy Laws.
