NASCAR Hall of Fame To Offer Local Rate

North and South Carolina residents to receive special rate Feb 1 – March 31, 2012  

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Feb. 1, 2012) – The NASCAR Hall of Fame is introducing a special Local Rate throughout the months of February and March. Available for a limited-time only, the special rate offers North and South Carolina residents visiting the interactive, entertainment attraction a discounted admission price of $15.95 for adults, $14.95 for seniors and $9.95 for children.       

Guests with a valid photo ID and proof of residency, such as a North Carolina or South Carolina driver’s license, can receive the special price when purchasing at the NASCAR Hall of Fame box office during regular operating hours.

“The NASCAR Hall of Fame is a unique entertainment attraction that offers something for all ages and all levels of interest in the sport,” said Winston Kelley, executive director of the NASCAR Hall of Fame. “We are still very new to the area, and our research and customer feedback indicates the overwhelming majority of our visitors are very surprised at the breadth and depth of the experience that the NASCAR Hall of Fame offers. We offer high-tech and hands-on interactive exhibits that provide fun for the whole family. We are offering this limited-time promotion to allow Carolinians an opportunity to get to know us better and experience all we have to offer.”

The Local Rate admission is offered from Feb. 1 – March 31 and provides full access to the NASCAR Hall of Fame where visitors can pack in the high-octane fun with more than 50 hands-on stations, authentic NASCAR artifacts and historic stock car exhibits. Guests also can get actively involved and practice a pit stop, walk through a full-size NASCAR Sprint Cup hauler, call a race, get behind the wheel in one of fourteen iRacing simulators and more. Young racers can get their hands-on experience in Kobalt Kids Zone and Race Week’s child-friendly pit stop challenge. 

Tickets to the NASCAR Hall of Fame can be purchased by calling 877-231-2010 or at Annual Memberships are available starting at $25 for children and $50 for adults. Conveniently located in uptown Charlotte, N.C., the 150,000-square-foot NASCAR Hall of Fame is an interactive, entertainment attraction honoring the history and heritage of NASCAR. It was the second highest attended sports hall of fame in American its opening year. The high-tech venue, designed to educate and entertain race fans and non-fans alike, opened May 11, 2010 and includes artifacts, hands-on exhibits, 278-person state-of-the-art theater, Hall of Honor, Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant, NASCAR Hall of Fame Gear Shop and NASCAR Media Group-operated broadcast studio. The venue is open 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. seven days a week and has an attached parking garage on Brevard Street. The NASCAR Hall of Fame is owned by the City of Charlotte, licensed by NASCAR and operated by the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority.
