Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is the sixth busiest airport in the world offering non-stop service to over 130 non-stop destinations worldwide via more than 650 daily flights. CLT is just seven miles away from the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
Uptown Charlotte, home to the NASCAR Hall of Fame, is location just a few miles away from the Intersection of I-85 and I-77.
Amtrak provides daily passenger rail service on the North and South lines, which access most of the United States. Service includes the Carolinian/Piedmont train to New York, with stops in Raleigh, Richmond, Washington, D.C., Baltimore and Philadelphia. The Crescent line operates daily with trips between New York City and New Orleans. The Amtrak station is located just outside of Uptown Charlotte on North Tyron Street, a couple miles away from the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
Pleasant, moderate and sunny, Charlotte's weather is known for clear blue skies and bright sunshine. Bright sun and clear skies are common during the summer months. Unlike summers in some Southern cities, very hot weather conditions (higher than 90° F) usually occur only 36 days each year in Charlotte. While summer brings the heaviest rainfalls, March is the wettest month and November the driest.
