Coronavirus Update & Resources

Updated August 31, 2021

How It Impacts Us

The NASCAR Hall of Fame continues operating at 100 percent capacity, in accordance with the eased state restrictions.

Under Mecklenburg County's current indoor mask mandate, guests are required to wear face coverings while inside our venue.

In response to recent health recommendations and for the safety of our guests and team members, our team members are required to wear masks when indoors in close contact with others regardless of vaccination status.

The NASCAR Hall is an accredited Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR facility The GBAC STAR Certification is the gold standard of prepared facilities and the cleaning industry’s only outbreak prevention, response and recovery accreditation.

Below are just a few of the other measures that the NASCAR Hall of Fame will continue to implement to ensure the safety of guests, team members and the community:

  • Rigorous and frequent sanitizing and disinfecting
  • Hand sanitizer stations throughout the Hall
  • Complimentary individual stylus pen for low/no contact with interactive exhibits
  • Encouraging advance ticket purchase and mobile ticketing

Learn more about our safety measures and purchase your advance tickets: https://www.nascarhall.com/clean.

We are committed to working with our individual, event and group customers who were scheduled or planning to visit during closure to accommodate their needs.

  • NASCAR Hall Memberships will be extended for the length of time the NASCAR Hall of Fame was closed.
  • Racing Insiders Tours will be rescheduled for future dates.
  • General admission tickets purchased for dates the Hall was closed will be honored at any other date.

What You Need to Know

An indoor mask mandate has been issued for Mecklenburg County (which includes the City of Charlotte), effective August 31, 2021.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated its recommendation regarding face coverings for indoor public spaces in regions where the coronavirus and especially the Delta variant are spreading rapidly. All people are recommended to wear masks indoors, even if they are vaccinated, in areas of substantial or high transmission. View the Interim Guidance for Fully Vaccinated People.

Throughout the pandemic, the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority (CRVA) closely monitored recommendations and actions coming from the local, state and federal levels in order to guide decision-making about health protocols and practices. The CRVA continues to do so as the health and safety of our team members, clients and guests is always a top priority.

The CRVA is working diligently in partnership with others to support the local restaurants, shops, attractions and other hospitality-related businesses that are essential to the quality of life we all know and love in the Queen City.

COVID vaccines are safe and effective and are our best shot at getting life back to normal. Visit the CDC website for up-to-date information and resources.
