A NEW ERA FOR THE NASCAR HALL OF FAME

Since we opened our doors in 2010, the NASCAR Hall of Fame has been proud to serve as the home of honoring our history, sharing the stories of our Legends and introducing new fans to our sport.

As we look ahead to the next era, we’re reimagining our space to better serve our guests and the greater Charlotte community with the following improvements designed to:

  • Offer improved guest experiences, including upgraded entrance, café and Gear Shop
  • Expand STEAM educational opportunities and scholarship-based programs
  • Enhance our ability to host events of all sizes with more flexible and dynamic spaces

What can guests expect after renovations are complete? icon

Once renovations are complete, guests will be able to experience updated spaces that make it easier to explore, learn and enjoy everything the NASCAR Hall of Fame has to offer.

  • Upgraded lobby with improved guest entrance experience
  • Café with better seating and meal options
  • Gear Shop with improved visibility and access
  • Dynamic classrooms that increase educational offerings

Will the NASCAR Hall remain open during the remodeling? icon

Yes. It’s important to our team to keep our doors open throughout this process so fans can continue to explore and experience the NASCAR Hall. 

Will exhibits remain open during the renovation? icon

Yes. All exhibits, displays, artifacts and fan interactive experiences will remain open for our guests.

What areas of the NASCAR Hall will be impacted? icon

Renovations will take place in phases and will include updates to the lobby, Gear Shop, and entrance and exit areas.

Will Hall hours change during the renovation? icon

Our operating hours will remain the same and not be impacted by construction. 

Will parking access change? icon

No. Parking will remain the same and guests can find directions on our Plan A Visit page: nascarhall.com/plan-a-visit

Will the entrance to the NASCAR Hall be impacted? icon

Yes. During the renovations, guests will use a temporary entrance located off S. Caldwell Street. Directional signage will be placed prominently around nearby garages and sidewalks to guide guests to the entrance. Guests can also scan posted QR codes for additional directions and visitor information.

When will the construction be complete? icon

We’re excited to unveil the completed renovations and new guest enhancements in summer 2027, bringing an even more immersive and engaging experience to the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

How will this affect my visit to the NASCAR Hall? icon

We’re working hard to minimize disruption and will continue to provide uninterrupted exhibit experiences. During your visit, you may spot:

  • Temporary pathway adjustments, including walk between parking garage and Caldwell entrance
  • Additional directional signage
  • Active construction in select areas 
Will the café remain open during the construction? icon

Yes. The café will remain open during renovations.

Will the Gear Shop remain open during construction? icon

Yes. The Gear Shop will remain open during renovations.

Will the NASCAR Hall still be hosting groups during the remodeling? icon

Yes. Groups, tours, events and team builds will not be impacted by the remodeling.

Will the educational programming be impacted? icon

The Hall will continue to offer exceptional educational programming and field trips. We are able to accommodate and host students onsite.
