Five Generations of
Earnhardt Racing
For a limited time, explore firesuits from five generations of Earnhardt racing — now on display at the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
5 Generations on Display
NASCAR racing has always been a family sport, carried on from generation to generation. One of the longest running are the Earnhardts of Kannapolis, North Carolina. Patriarch Ralph Earnhardt began racing in 1949 and even today, fourth- and fifth-generation Earnhardts can be found carrying the family name to Victory Lane.
This new exhibit features artifacts from five generations of Earnhardt racers — from Ralph Earnhardt’s 1960s Firestone firesuit to Brylon Earnhardt’s 2024 go-kart gear. In total, the display includes 17 firesuits, along with a crew shirt and a uniform, highlighting the family’s presence on the track across decades. Grab a picture with a legendary Goodwrench firesuit worn by the Intimidator himself or one of Dale Jr.’s iconic Budweiser firesuits.
Plan a visit to the NASCAR Hall of Fame to experience this limited-time exhibit on display in Victory Lane.
