Why is there a Class of 2021 and Class of 2023 but no Class of 2022? icon

The NASCAR Hall of Fame is continuing with the tradition of its Inductee class being identified based on the year of their intended Induction rather than the year they were selected. The Class of 2021 was originally selected in 2019 with an intended Induction in 2021. Due to the extenuating circumstances of the pandemic, the Class of 2021’s Induction Ceremony was moved to 2022 with the safety of all attendees and team members at the forefront of the decision.
