NASCAR HALL OF FAME DECKED OUT WITH HOLIDAY HAPPENINGS

Ticket Sales for Seasonal Celebrations Begin Nov. 7

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Nov. 2, 2018) – The NASCAR Hall of Fame is revved up and ready for the season with a lineup of high-octane fun during Holidays at the Hall. From Nov. 16 to Jan. 6, visitors can lace up their skates for Holiday on Ice, experience the wonder of the Hall’s 39-foot-tall tree during the annual Tree Lighting Celebration, enjoy Breakfast with Santa, visit the NASCAR Hall of Fame to pick out their own special NASCAR-themed gift and more.

HOLIDAY ON ICE
Friday, Nov. 16 – Sunday, Jan. 6
Uptown Charlotte’s outdoor ice rink returns to the NASCAR Hall of Fame Plaza. Skaters and non-skaters alike will want to have their pictures taken with the giant polar bear, under the tree or in the Ceremonial Garden decorated with thousands of glimmering holiday lights. And guests won’t want to miss holiday-themed merchandise from the ice rink souvenir stand and snacks and hot cocoa from the concessions hut. Admission is $12 for those that bring their own skates and $16 with a skate rental.

TREE LIGHTING CELEBRATION
Saturday, Nov. 24
The NASCAR Hall of Fame is bringing the holiday season to light with the fourth annual tree lighting on the NASCAR Hall of Fame Plaza in Uptown Charlotte. The community is invited to join Santa Claus, Champ the Cheetah and Sheri Lynch from WLNK/107.9 The Link for an evening of family-friendly activities, live music and entertainment as the 39-foot tree glimmers with thousands of LED lights. The tree will remain lit for 24 hours a day until Jan. 6.

MAGICAL MORNING: A SENSORY-FRIENDLY SANTA EXPERIENCE
Sunday, Dec. 9
The NASCAR Hall of Fame is offering a special sensory-friendly event for families living with autism or special needs. The NASCAR Hall of Fame elves have worked hard to create an environment where kids can be themselves. Each child will have the opportunity to meet Santa Claus in an atmosphere that is calming and quiet with no loud music or flashing lights. Plus with pre-scheduled Santa times, there is little to no wait. This event also includes crafts and the opportunity to watch a Christmas movie in the High Octane Theater with the lights up and the sound down. Magical Morning takes place from 8 a.m. to noon. Tickets are $15 for the whole family.

BREAKFAST WITH SANTA
Saturday, Dec. 22 & Sunday, Dec. 23
Santa Claus is coming to town, and he's making a pit stop at the NASCAR Hall of Fame for the fourth annual Breakfast with Santa. This all-inclusive experience features a delectable breakfast, a visit and picture with Santa, crafts and reindeer games plus much more. As an added bonus, each child ticket to Breakfast with Santa includes same-day complimentary admission to the ice rink on the NASCAR Hall of Fame Plaza. Breakfast with Santa has sessions at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 10 a.m. and are $25 per adult and $22 per child, ages 3 to 12. Children 2 and under are free. Advance ticket purchase is required; tickets will not be sold at the door.

UNDECK THE HALL
Wednesday, Dec. 26
NASCAR fans are invited to join us the morning after Christmas as we "Undeck" the Hall. Fans are permitted to select a gift off the many trees decorated with NASCAR-themed items like autographed souvenirs, die-cast cars, race tickets, apparel and gear, sheet metal and more. Like years before, there will even be secret surprises hidden on the trees. Doors open at 10 a.m., and the fun continues until all of the gifts are gone. The event is free for members or with a paid admission to the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Additionally, Hall of Fame members will have access to top racing swag from the special members-only tree.

GIFTS FOR THE GEAR HEAD
All Season
Shoppers with NASCAR fans on their lists can wrap up something nice from the NASCAR Hall of Fame Gear Shop, or they can give the gift of NASCAR all year long with memberships to the NASCAR Hall of Fame. From Black Friday, Nov. 23 through Sunday, Dec. 23, memberships purchased are 20 percent off on all membership levels.
