CHARLOTTE, N.C. (June 15, 2010) – NASCAR Hall of Fame and AIM Tours today launched the Ultimate Fan Experience Tour, a daylong tour with stops at several Charlotte, N.C.-area NASCAR attractions.

Whether a hardcore race fan looking for a gateway into the world of NASCAR or a family looking for a summer getaway, the Ultimate Fan Experience Tour gives guests a unique, insiders look at the sport of NASCAR. Offered Monday – Thursday, the all-inclusive tour features a full day of visits to several local NASCAR-themed attractions, including exclusive opportunities not generally available to the public.

“We are excited to be chosen as the exclusive tour provider for the NASCAR Hall of Fame tours,” said Roger Haas, president of AIM Tours/Adventures in Motorsports. “This unique tour will provide the participant with the opportunity to get closer to the sport than ever before. Our plan is to weave the historical perspective of motorsports with the excitement of today’s fast-paced action. Tour participants begin their day with early admittance to the new NASCAR Hall of Fame in uptown, Charlotte, N.C. They are given approximately three hours to explore the 40,000 square feet of exhibit space, which includes more than 50 interactive stations, iRacing simulators, authentic artifacts, historic stock cars and more. In addition, guests can enjoy exclusive time with an exhibits team member and get the ‘inside track’ on the history of a featured artifact. The NASCAR Hall of Fame portion of the tour concludes with a catered lunch served in a souvenir NASCAR Hall of Fame lunch bag.

Guests continue the tour with an afternoon of behind-the-scenes visits of a variety of local race attractions. Tour itineraries vary but include stops such as Charlotte Motor Speedway, Sam Bass Gallery, Hendrick Motorsports, Earnhardt Ganassi Racing, Dale Earnhardt Inc., Curb Motorsports Museum, MacDonald Racing and Michael Waltrip Racing. Guests are treated to tours of race shops including shop areas not generally viewed by the public, access to personal work spaces, opportunities to view collections of selected celebrities, live pit stops and exclusive discounts on race merchandise.

“Charlotte has a strong tradition of motorsports and a plethora of fascinating racing-related places for guests to visit,” said Winston Kelley, executive director of the NASCAR Hall of Fame. “This tour is ideal for residents and tourists alike who want to learn more about all facets of the sport. They can learn about the past and present of the sport at the NASCAR Hall of Fame and then spend the rest of the day watching the sport come to life. The stops on the tour give them a more intimate look at the vibrant motorsports industry in this region.”
