GO HANDS-ON AT THE HALL

Ever wish to explore more about NASCAR — the sport, the people, the track or competitions? Join us in August for different explorations and quick-hit activities in the exhibit galleries. Spend 3-5 minutes or more with a staff member in a different location each week, Fridays and Saturdays, Aug. 15-16, 22-23, 29-30, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Friday, Aug. 15 and Saturday, Aug. 23: Legends and Legacy

Location: Hall of Honor, Level 3

Learn about the legends, heroes and innovators who have shaped NASCAR over its 76 years. Challenge your knowledge through the Hall of Honor and create your own team from our gallery of Hall of Fame inductees, as well as Squire Hall and Landmark Award winners.

Saturday, Aug. 16 and Friday, Aug. 29: From Zero to 200 mph Cars to Technology

Location: Evolution of a Race Car, Level 4

Firesuits, tires, radios, transaxles or even fuel-injected engines are just a few ways that technology has changed in racing. Discover the technological changes that have impacted the sport and a few that may have changed your personal car. See if you can place these changes in timeline order and identify the part.

Friday, Aug. 22 and Saturday, Aug. 30: Anatomy of a Race Car

Location: Anatomy of a Race Car, Level 3

NASCAR’s evolution from stock car to race car is a transformation of innovation, technology and engineering. Learn about today’s race cars and innovate changes from the past. See if you can engineer a car to meet a few NASCAR Hall of Fame rules.
