Heating Up

Friction and transfer of energy are key scientific lessons and critical elements in the sport of NASCAR. During this session, students will learn about the role of friction and its impact on different parts of the car, everything from the engine to the tires. Students will conduct a series of experiments with different surfaces and angles to calculate distance and velocity.
