Summer Camps

Get ready to go full throttle with Champ's Educational Camps at the NASCAR Hall of Fame!

K-9 CAMPS IN CHARLOTTE

The Hall is offering multiple camp options for rising grades K-9 throughout the year!

Campers will discover the race cars, tracks, music and art that drive the sport of NASCAR. Kids will accelerate their experience with interactive STREAM learning, crafts, experiments and physical challenges.

Spring Break Camp

K-5 students explore the world of NASCAR through hands-on STREAM (science, technology, reading, engineering, art and math) and participate in games, crafts, challenges and creative exploration.

  • April 2-4
  • 9AM - 3PM
  • 8AM - 5PM (w/extended care)

Registration: Payments due in full 14 days prior to camp start date.

ADD-ONS

  • $35 per child (extended care)
  • $10 per child per day for lunch/snack

Spring Break Camp Schedule

Select a camp to view more information. Spring Break camp can be either a single day experience or a three day full throttle engagement. Last day to register for Spring Break Camp is Monday, March 18th. Full payment is due at registration.

SUMMER CAMPS

Join us at the starting line in Uptown Charlotte. Campers will discover the race cars, tracks, music and art that drive the sport of NASCAR. In-person summer camps feature hands-on experiments, engineering and an opportunity to discover the museum before it opens to guests. This one of a kind experience includes take home fun for campers to share with their family members.

  • 9AM - 3PM
  • 8AM - 5PM (w/extended care)

Registration: Pay in full or $100 deposit per camper to register. Payments due in full 14 days prior to camp start date.

Summer Camp Schedule

Reserve soon! Week 4 is the only camp not sold out. Select a camp to view more information. Summer Camps are one week in length. Grades vary by week. Last day to register for Summer Camp is Friday, May 31. Full payment is due June 1.

Registration Process icon

  • Register online for the quickest processing of your child space
  • Phone registration or payments can be made by calling 888-902-6463.- between 10:00 am and 4:30 pm EST
  • Members will receive a discount for camp reservation with a valid and up-to-date membership. To inquire about family membership, call or visit our website to become a member.
  • Full payment for Out of School Day Camps or Spring Break 2024 Camp is due at the time if registration
  • Full payment is due for Summer Camp 2024 by June 1st to validate your child’s spot in camp. Balances not paid by June 1st will forfeit your child’s spot.
  • Emergency medical forms and additional registration information will be emailed directly to your email on file starting in May and must be completed no later than one week prior to the start of Camp.
  • Campers must be entering the grade level that is designated for the Camp.
  • Additional fees may apply for some camps. Please read the full descriptions for additional information.
  • You will receive a confirmation email immediately after completing your registration. Please check your Spam if you do not see this in your Inbox. Verify that everything is correct with your registration. If there is an error, call 704.654.4462 or 704-654-4464. Changes are subject to current availability

Refunds and Cancellations icon

  • Camps with low enrollment are subject to cancellation. NASCAR Hall of Fame will make this determination three weeks prior to the start of a session. If a Camp is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will be notified and given the opportunity to select another Camp (based on availability) or receive a refund.
  • If you need to cancel any camp enrollment—for any reason—you must notify us in writing by 5:00 P.M.
  • Out of School Camps: Notify by Monday prior to day of camp
  • Spring Break Camp: Notify by Monday, March 18
  • Summer Camp Notify by Monday, May 27, 2024, to receive a refund of camp tuition—minus the reservation/cancellation fee.
  • The cancellation fee is deposit fee of $50 per child. Cancellation fees are per session and per child.
  • Missed days of camp are not eligible for a refund and cannot be applied to any other camp session.
  • Cancellation requests must be emailed to education@nascarhall.com with the subject line “Cancellation Request”. In the body of the email include the full name of the person who made the registration and the order number/s (eight-digit number on your registration confirmation). If you have multiple camps booked on the same order, specify the week/s and the corresponding grade level/s of the camps you are wanting to cancel. You will receive an email confirmation once the cancellation has been processed; this could take up to two business days and will be applied back to the credit card on file

Wait Lists

  • When a camp session sells out, you may join a Wait List.
  • When a space in a camp session becomes available, we will contact the first person on the list by phone. If we do not reach a live person, who is ready to reserve the available camp at that moment, then we will immediately move on to the next person on the list.
  • To be added to a wait list send an email to education@nascarhall.com with the subject line “Wait List”. In the body of the email list the full name and phone number of the person you want us to contact and the camp Week/Grade Level of the wait list/s you wish to join.

Reschedule Requests icon

  • Requests to change your registration to a different week will be assessed based on availability.
  • Reschedule requests must be made at least three full weeks prior to the start date of your originally scheduled week of camp and at least two weeks prior to the start date of the newly requested camp.
  • Reschedule requests must be emailed to education@nascarhall.com with the subject line “Reschedule Request”. In the body of the email include the full name of the person who made the registration and the order number/s (eight-digit number on your registration confirmation). If you have multiple camps booked on the same order, specify the week/s and the corresponding grade level/s of the camps you are wanting to reschedule and new week/s you would like to choose. You will receive an email either confirming the reschedule has been processed or letting you know if we are unable to process it based on capacity or policies.
  • Please note that the cancellation policy will apply if a reschedule is not possible and you are unable to attend your currently registered week of camp

How does pick-up/drop off work? icon

  • Drop off (which begins at 8:45 AM) and pick up at 3:00 pm daily. NASCAR Hall of Fame has a rolling car line means the parent/guardian does not need to leave the car! Our staff will come to you.
  • A sign-in/out area will be available when you arrive at the site.
  • Your child will only be released to the parent/guardian or another authorized adult you have indicated on registration form. This list can be updated on by emailing education@nascarhall.com
  • Please follow the drop off and pick up procedure. You must sign your full name and time on the attendance roster when dropping off and picking up your child(ren). Photo identification will be checked daily.

Do you offer scholarships or Financial Assistance? icon

  • NASCAR Hall of Fame Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization that strengthens the foundations of our community. Thanks to donations to the Foundation, we can offer financial assistance to those unable to pay the standard fees.*
  • Anyone is invited to apply for an income-based financial assistance. Application for financial assistance can be found through emailing foundation@nascarhall.com or using the online form to request support.

How will staff be trained and monitored? icon

  • Supervisors and site directors have degrees in education or related fields and have the required number of years of experience working with children according to DHS qualifications. Our college-aged counselors have experience with children and many are taking classes in child care, education art, or related fields.
  • Staff are required to wear a name tag or staff shirt and project a professional image. Conditions of employment include, but are not limited to, the following:
    • First Aid/CPR
    • Background Checks/Screening Process
    • Training in Safety and emergency procedures
    • Program-specific certifications
    • 2 written references
    • Proof of education, college course, and/or experience.
  • All staff are required to have 30+ hours prior to the start of camp. In addition, they receive on the job training, and are required to attend staff meetings on a regular basis. Topics include, but are not limited to: Child care knowledge, group work skills, behavior management, emergency procedures, and program content.

How do you manage camper allergies, medical needs or emergency contacts? icon

  • All registered campers will be provided with a link to our registration form, our HIPPA-Compliant system for managing camper's medical information and emergency contacts, prior to the start of camp. Information provided to registration is owned by you and our counselors and staff will be provided access while your camper is in our program.
  • Note: Our full medication policy, nut-free policy and information about allergies, emergency medical care and more is available in our Parent Handbook.

Can I come and do a tour before Camp begins? icon

Yes! We would love to give you a tour. Feel free to email at education@nascarhall.com with the subject line: Camp Tour and schedule a tour during a time that works for you.

What happens if my child becomes ill or is injured? icon

Minor medical treatment will be provided by the camp staff. Parents and guardians will be contacted during any medical situation. If there is any emergency or major medical treatment, NASCAR Hall of Fame staff will contact EMTs and you. If your child becomes acutely ill, we will contact you and request a the child to be picked up. If you suspect that your child has been exposed to a contagious illness (such as chicken pox or head lice) before coming to camp, or has had a fever within the 24 hours before camp arrival, please call camp to discuss rescheduling your child.
