About the Class

Engineering on the Move

The E in STEM asks how to identify a problem and propose a solution. Racing is engineering on the move – from building a strong engine to engineering a track. In this challenge, students will be asked to solve a problem, design a solution and improve on their findings. Groups will receive a challenge card that outlines the fundamental question or rule change. But, in NASCAR time is essential; time management and team work will be critical. Great ideas come from working together. Pre and post ideas for continuation of the engineering challenges will be available.
