Energy in Motion

Grade Levels: 10-12

Engineering and design

Subject: Physics and Engineering

Program Description: Engineers, fabricators, designers and mechanics work together on every aspect of racing – the car, track, tools, and overall experience. Students will explore how energy is a key factor in NASCAR and how to push the car to its maximum potential by solving a problem and building a solution. They must imagine, design, test and improve their solutions. Students will devise two different systems to propel their car. Students will take projects back to school to continue revising their solutions.
