Explore Sound Waves through NASCAR

About the Class

Roar of the Engines

Sound is around us each and every day. At a shop or at the track, NASCAR is a great way to explore sound waves. Students will conduct a series of sound experiments and measure sound waves for impact. Real recordings from the garage and track will be included in the experiments. Using a sound-level meter, students will graph their data for comparison of values.
