Daniel is a former Curator for the NASCAR Hall of Fame and earned his Ph.D. from the University of Florida in 2009.
Daniel J. Simone earned his Ph.D. from the University of Florida in 2009, with specializations in Environmental, Oral, and Sport History. His dissertation examined how environmental forces and factors shaped the development of American motorsports.
Before becoming Curator of the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2016, Dr. Simone served as a History professor at Monmouth University. Since 2000, he has conducted over 100 oral history interviews and presented over two dozen academic papers on motorsport-related topics.
