Curator's Corner / Announcement

Welcome to the Curators' Corner

Our continuous commitment to sharing the time-honored stories of our sport is why we have created the Curators' Corner.

We have had the privilege to welcome guests from all 50 states and six continents. Every visit to the NASCAR Hall of Fame presents an incredible opportunity for us to tell a story that will leave a lasting impression about the sport and its heroes. We tell that story through our ever-evolving exhibits and interactive experiences such as “24: A Tribute to Jeff Gordon,” “PETTY: Building a Family Legacy,” “RCR 50: Only in America,” and so many more. Since 2010, we’ve curated four evolutions of the Great Hall’s signature exhibit, Glory Road, with the most recent installment, Dale Jr.: Glory Road Champions, marking the first time the Hall has worked with a guest curator for this exhibit.

Each year, the Hall hosts more than 300 unique events and industry happenings, shining a spotlight on the sport and bringing new fans into the fold. We spark the imagination of more than 17,000 students who engage in the Hall of Fame’s education program, which blends the thrills of NASCAR with science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics (STE(A)M) principles. And the NASCAR Hall of Fame Foundation works to extend these educational offerings to economically disadvantaged students so they too can benefit from valuable experiences that open doors to new opportunities.

To date, we have had the unparalleled distinction of enshrining 55 NASCAR Hall of Fame inductees in the Hall of Honor, the crown jewel of the NASCAR Hall of Fame. To become a NASCAR Hall of Famer means you have reached the pinnacle of the sport, be it driver, crew chief, mechanic or team owner and that now and forever, you are truly one of NASCAR’s legends.

We have also had the opportunity to share the stories of those who are often behind the scenes but whose contributions have still made a lasting impact on NASCAR with special honors and exhibits such as the Squier-Hall Award for NASCAR Media Excellence and Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR.

Our continuous commitment to finding new ways to share the time-honored stories of our sport is why we have created the Curators’ Corner. Each week, the NASCAR Hall of Fame curatorial team of Tom Jensen, Curatorial Affairs Manager, and Dan Simone, Curator, will strive to bring you in-depth interviews with members of the NASCAR community, timely takes on historical content and insider looks at everything from artifacts in the Hall to events and remarkable moments in NASCAR history.

Through 10 years of change, one thing has remained constant – it’s our guests and our fans that make the Hall and NASCAR truly special. It’s your passion and seeing you and your families enjoying the rich history of the sport that makes us excited to come to work day in and day out.

You make the NASCAR Hall of Fame a destination that has its finger on the pulse of the past, present and future of the sport. Each and every one of you is just as much a part of the NASCAR story as the legends we honor.

As you read through these stories and visit the Hall of Fame, please let our team know how we can make your experience all you envisioned it would be – and more – by reaching out to us on our Contact Us page.

On behalf of everyone at the NASCAR Hall of Fame, thank you for your support and for visiting. We hope you enjoy the Curators’ Corner.
